I know this is short notice, but given the circumstances lately, I felt it best to hold off on bringing up the following:
Since the legality issues surrounding prom at Santa Monica are unlikely to be resolved by this weekend, we wanted to give you high school students a chance to have a night to yourselves. Inferno's been reserved for the 14th (Friday night). Feel free to invite your friends from school.
If you don't attend the high school but would like to help out, please do! We'll need help with food, music and decorations. We'll also need some telepathic and non-telepathic chaperones (sorry, kids). Again, I know it's last moment; I wasn't sure if we would be able to do it but I think it'd be a lot of fun. I'm sure some of you are just looking for excuses to get out of the hotel for an evening.

In the last year, this is my third handheld. Nevermind that I managed to keep the first one for nearly four years. I apologize, Tessa and Forge. I promise I won't become a repeat offender.
Anyway, there's nothing between me and summer except five weeks of medical neuroscience. And besides visiting my parents, I want to plan lots of trips to the beach. Forget about sun cancer; I need some serious doses of Vitamin D.

I'm over endocrine and reproductive medicine. One more week of classes. Exams start March 1. Then visiting my parents for a week. It won't be as exciting as Fashion Week, but I'm looking forward to it.

I can't remember why Rogue talked me into staying in California for Thanksgiving this year. I think she promised me some food or something? I'll be very disappointed if I don't get some of these chicken and dumplings I've been hearing so much about, Rogue. Not to put pressure on Rogue or anything. Just have to fight off a hotel full of hungry people. When I could be the one hungry guest at my parents' in New York, where they would have fabulous sales, Rogue. Not that the shopping in Santa Monica and L.A. is something to turn my nose up at, but well, it's no New York. I'm just saying. I've just been waiting in anticipation for a month or two, Rogue That's all. Since I missed my opportunity to book a Thanksgiving flight. And am in California like you wanted, Rogue.
In all seriousness though, it's nice to spend Thanksgiving here -- I can't remember the last time I did that. Maybe that first year we got into the hotel. I can't say Thanksgiving dinner then or even at my parents' is anything like it is here. I'm excited for all the food, sure, but I'm also glad to be spending it with you guys (or as Rogue would say, "y'all").

Hotel Residents: Please check in with me or Rogue or Tessa if you're still here -- especially if you're experiencing any difficulties due to the lapse in ability to use your powers. We'll make sure someone comes to check on you and help you out if it's needed.
Hotel Visitors: If your powers aren't working, please let us know immediately.
If anyone starts to feel their powers come back or anything else out of the ordinary, please let us know. Other than that, I don't see why you can't proceed with your day as normal.

I've already talked to Hank and Emma (and Warren) about this and now I want to get it rolling in September. I know some of you never finished high school and I've been working on setting up a GED program here at the hotel. Basically, if you're interested, we can start small classes in preparation for you to take the tests to get your GED. If you're not comfortable with being in a small class, we can always set up individual tutoring.
So if you'd be interested in getting your GED or helping tutor residents who are (or just want to help me keep track of things!), please feel free to contact me.

I honestly don't know what to say to you all -- I know some of you are worried and some of you are pissed. I am too. Both of those things. I will also be the first to admit I don't know what this means in the greater scheme of things. Luckily for us (because our actions can't be connected to the hotel), you can't tell who we are from that footage circulating around the internet. Luckily for me, Rogue and Logan were around. I cannot stress how grateful I am that they were there and how scared I am of what could have been if they weren't. To the best of my recollection, my powers have never acted like that before. And I'm taking the steps to make sure that it doesn't happen like that again. I figure that can't assuage everyone's feelings toward the situation my surge has caused, but that's the best way I can think of explaining it. Please, feel free to come talk to me about it or message me.

No doubt you all have either seen or heard about Warren's appearance on the news. As Warren said, the rule of keeping the hotel secret still applies. I wanted to reiterate that it is our priority to provide a safe space for you to live and interact with others who are going through the same thing as you. Warren's revelation to the news only confirmed that there are others like him but nothing about a secret residence in California. Please help us keep it that way -- secret.
Understandably, this can be alarming. If anyone wants to talk about it, I'll be available at the hotel all weekend. I'll either be in my room or in the front office. Feel free to stop me from whatever I'm doing. I'm all yours.

Hello, everyone. There is so much I need to say but I am tired and can't think straight. Logan found me and is driving right now. I think we are about an hour or so away from the hotel.
I just wanted to say -- before I get back to the hotel -- how much I missed you all and the hotel. And I am sorry that I have been gone so long. I shouldn't have gone to Utah and I am just sorry that I missed spending the time after Christmas with you.
Logan caught me up on some things. Tell me what else has been going on with you guys. Tell me everything. I missed you so much.

Jason surprised me today with a vacation -- we're apparently going skiing at the Sundance Resort in Utah! We leave on Saturday. I haven't been skiing since I was a kid. I need to pack tonight but I have to go shopping before then for appropriate clothing -- most of my cold weather clothes are in New York for a reason. I just checked the weather for the resort -- it's getting even colder there Saturday. Below freezing but snow. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself on the bunny slopes.
And after a week and a half in Utah, I'll be in New York for Christmas with the family. I should definitely be back before New Year's Eve (I think my flight is scheduled to be back by the 27th), though. So I want to know anything that's going on then.
If I don't have a chance to see some of you before I leave, I hope you have a happy holidays and I will miss you guys while I'm gone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will have you all know I am glad to be back in California, where it is about twenty degrees warmer than New York. Unfortunately, it also the last week of classes for us UCLA students with those impending finals starting next week. If anyone wants to get together and study, I will be either in my room or somewhere in the campus library. Or bugging Hank.
Hank? I am crashing on your lab time this week. This way, you will be adequately prepared.
